Works by Panos Antonopoulos
Tesalónica, Grecia 1981
Panos is a civil engineer graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and studied an MA on Environmental Protection and Management from the University of Edinburgh. Thanks to the influence of writers such as Henry Miller, Jack London, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, among others, little by little he began to transform himself into a conceptual artist. He founded the 9th Art Wave, a group of artists who share the same philosophy about contemporary art, and whose main idea has a strong socio-political burden. His work is mainly inspired by the sociopolitical structures. Through the use of different materials and pictorial techniques, each piece is different in execution and concept. He has made countless solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally.
