Joan Brossa (1919-1998) was a Spanish poet, recognized for his visual poems, object poems and urban poems, qualified his career as a result of participating in the Spanish Civil War and being injured. In the decade of the 40, a luck allows him to know personalities like Joan Miró and Joan Prats, through the poet Josep Vicenç Foix, one of the most important literary figures of Catalan surrealism.
Brossa establishes a literary and artistic relationship with which he makes an extensive production, partly still unpublished, which allows him to gain recognition by large institutions and several mentions and awards such as the Critique Serra d'Or, Unesco, the Ciutat awardsof Barcelona or the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts.
