Pablo Serrano (1908-1985) was a renowned Spanish sculptor and is currently considered one of the greatest artistic references of the 20th century in Spain of the abstract avant-garde. He was the founder of the prestigious group "El Paso", in 1957 by artists such as Luis Feito, Antonio Saura, Rafael Canogar and Manolo Miralles, among others.
Serrano enjoys international recognition due to his countless awards and mentions such as the Sculpture Grand Prix at the III Hispano-American Biennial of Art in Barcelona, the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts or named Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Zaragoza.
With a brilliant career, the sculptor's works are in important collections such as MoMA (New York), the George Pompidou Center (Paris), the Guggenheim Museum in New York or the Reina SofĂ­a National Art Center Museum (Madrid).
