Works by Otero Besteiro
Otero Besteiro (1933-1994) was a Spanish sculptor, designer and illustrator, trained at the San Fernando Higher School of Fine Arts. In his role as an artist, he made monumental sculptures of animals, with a personal and unmistakable style, which is part of the second half sculptural imaginary of the 20th century in Spain.
Thanks to his influences in the field of philosophy and science, his works give off personality and richness in materials and in their execution. From gold and silver, to bronze and granite were some of the materials he used to carry out his pieces.
