José Luis Alexanco is a painter, sculptor, engraver and multimedia artist. He is one of the main exponents of the Spanish avant-garde of the last third of the 20th century and one of the pioneers, worldwide, of the use of computers in art. He is part of the group of artists, after the group Dau al Set, the group El Paso and the group Hondo, that carried out the avant-gardes from the second half of the sixties. From his beginnings in a figurative/expressionist line, he evolved towards a more conceptual line of research, taking the movement, the transformation, as the central axis of his work. His painting in constant change nourishes of itself, it feeds of its memory. Throughout his career, he has received a large number of awards.
