Chinese-american artist and poet that abandoned his natal country. He settled in Paris in 1952, where he met Karel Appel, Asger Jorn and Pierre Alechinsky, all of them members of Cobra avant-garde group. Guggenheim Fellowship Prize in 1970.
He started as an abstract artist, but most of his artwork from 70´s has been named as figurative preciousness. His work is based on the strength of its colour and known because of his fresh vitality and the topic of beautiful and sensual women. He has made individual and collective exhibitions, nationally and internationally, and his artwork is showed in different art collections and galleries.
