Spanish poet and painter. He was initially formed as an architect, but with his father, Albert Ràfols i Cullerés, support he left his studies to dedicate to Fine Arts. NAtional Prize in Fine Arts by Ministry of Culture in 1980. National Prize in Visual Arts in Cataluña in 2003. Honorary member of Royal Academy of San Fernando. 
He started in painting practising a post expressionist and figurative current. After that, his artwork became abstract. He has also worked scenography and design for theatre, His artwork can be found in several museums and collections.
