Painter, one of El Paso group founders. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, in Madrid. Awarded with Official Award of Arts and Lettres in France in 1985. Gold Medal in Fine Arts in 1998. Member of Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. His first paintings are figurative, but later he experimented with Cubism to finally reach the Abstraction. He only used black, white and ochre colours at the beginning. However, when he discovered the potential of the light y tried bright colours and plain surfaces. He used more and more vivid colours with time. He has made exhibitions in the most relevant cities in the world, his artwork can be seen in important collections and museums, such as Fine Art Museum in Montreal, Guggenheim Foundation in New York, Modern Art Museum in Mexico DF, National Museum of Modern Art in Paris, or Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid.
