The painter Alfredo Alcaín studied at the “San Fernando” Fine Arts Superior School of Madrid and later on he continued his studies of engraving and lithography in the National School of Graphic Arts and Cinema Decoration, at the National School of Cinema of Madrid. His artwork style is framed into a language very close to Pop Art, and he follows it throughout his whole career. He uses a great diversity of supports and techniques from the poster design, collage or even embroidery. More than thirty museums host his artworks, among them the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid or the Contemporary Art Museum of Seville. Alfredo Alcaín was granted the National Award of Plastic Arts in 2003.
