Josep Guinovart

Barcelona 1927

The Spanish painter, drawing-author and engraver Josep Guinovart studied at the Lonja School and in the Fomento de Artes Decorativas in Barcelona. After a period working on illustrations and scenographic decorations, he opted for abstract art. His unconventional work uses three-dimensional elements almost constantly, and most of his pieces are of large format. In his name, the Agramunt Museum was opened, dedicated to his works. Throughout his artistic career, he has made many exhibitions, and his work is distributed throughout the world in different museums, collections and art galleries.
