Eduardo Chillida (San Sebastián1924) is a Spanish artist known for his iron and concrete sculptures. Chillida left her studies in Architecture to dedicate herself exclusively to sculpture and drawing at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. He began to model figurative works, but little by little his evolution went towards more abstract forms, and it is in them that we find the greatest exponent within his production.
His work inhabits and works in open spaces, integrating itself to be part of them. The sets of volumes and the values of the mass make each of his works pose a spatial problem that Chillida tries to solve with the help of the material, according to its characteristics or properties.
